A global story

It’s a hugely exciting time to be part of the offshore wind industry; more wind farms are being constructed than ever before, as the world urgently seeks to create more clean energy sources.

Osbit’s equipment is an essential part in enabling the installation of offshore wind farms. As wind turbines continue to get bigger, the complexity of installing them also increases. We are working across the globe to find solutions to these complex engineering challenges.

A heritage of expertise

Osbit was co-founded by Dr Tony Trapp MBE, a pivotal figure in developing the global subsea industry.

As an engineer, Tony helped design some of the world’s first subsea ploughs & trenchers, which revolutionised the oil & gas, telecoms and offshore renewables industries.

Over his distinguished career, Tony founded and led a number of global engineering businesses in North East England. For his tireless work in improving offshore technology, he also received Global Underwater Hub’s Outstanding Contribution to the Subsea Industry Award.
