UK facilities

Osbit operates two sites in Northumberland, England’s northernmost county, as well as satellite offices in Scotland, and Southern England. Our UK design office is nestled in the Tyne Valley, an area renowned for its engineering heritage. Our UK assembly facility is based at the Port of Blyth, a renowned hub for offshore wind companies.

Main sites

Broomhaugh House, Riding Mill

A 19th century stately home built by a Victorian railway engineer and later owned by a famous local shipbuilding family. It was also the birthplace of The Engineering Business, a globally successful offshore engineering company previously established by Osbit co-founder Dr Tony Trapp.

Shed 11, Port of Blyth

A well-equipped assembly facility located within the busy Port of Blyth, a globally renowned hub for offshore engineering. Since 2016, we have delivered a diverse range of Osbit systems here, with our direct quayside access enabling both equipment wet testing, and straightforward loading out.

Satellite offices

Lowestoft, Suffolk

Our Southern England office is based in the OrbisEnergy, a premier location for ambitious companies looking to harness the massive opportunities in offshore wind, wave and tidal technologies.

Edinburgh, Scotland

Our Scotland office is based in the heart of the city centre and enables us to provide more local support to meet the needs of ScotWind.

Osbit Netherlands

In 2023, our Netherlands entity, Osbit B.V, became fully operational.

Osbit Netherlands was created to provide more tailored support to our growing number of Dutch and European customers, and to support more localised delivery of our equipment in this region.

Our Netherlands team is based in Rotterdam and is already designing and building equipment for our customers.
